Art is a verb, an action that connects us with the deepest part of our being. Bringing to light beautiful and uncomfortable truths that would never have life or expression.

I'm a painter, but at heart I'm a dancer. I find my best form of expression in art — whether with a brush or through dance. I consider myself a shy and introverted person who finds his best way to communicate through art.

As a dancer, body expression and movement offer a more realistic and precise approach to describing what I feel and experience. I let the music flow through me — the music is the cause, and the dance, its effect. As a painter, form and colour take on life through the infinite space of the canvas, extracting from my subconscious questions and beauty, entire universes contained within me.

That's why I paint, that's why I dance — to visualize through art the different stages of life: a beginning, its growth, and then its end. Art teaches me to live with frustration and ignorance. For me, it's the closest thing to peace.
